BAM cross-play !!!
Since then, we have ALWAYS had a 4 survivor lobby and not just 3, sometimes we have too many people. This includes people I've just met because they are PC exclusive guys or friends I have who play DBD purely on PC and it's been a great return to playing games with them. He knows who he is........ And even better is that games can be found "quicker" to a degree, still lobby waits but we also play at late night times. You see a high difficulty of killer and that's always unique and fun and because of that you have to get better very quickly in order to compensate and that creates a better experience, it is more "competitive" in a sense because it means someone like me truly feels like they have EARNED a rank when they get up one. The reason I say that is because often for killers like The Huntress, The Nurse, and The Plague you will see an incredibly higher level of play on PC vs console; thus when you see one you need to expect this. It does increase the amount of absolutely disgusting and sweaty killers using iridescent and purple add-ons playing like jerks as I've been told many PC killers do; which is massively unfortunate but it's something you have to deal with in all games.
I can say that for certain having cross-play is something that was available so suddenly has truly improved the game, which was already awesome, and they hope to add cross-progression as well so you can carry perks, characters, etc across platforms. It's pretty astonishing that a tiny indie developer in Montreal is able to do this while big AAA developers aren't able to get this kind of thing off the ground.
Cross-play does indeed make games, except first person shooters, better in most ways.
