College Football Revamped.
It has totally revitalized all the NCAA YouTubers that I watch and get to enjoy new content they put out, now that I finally know how to install it myself I too plan to not only play the game but to stream it and do some of my own content as well. Not that it will be nearly as good as theirs but we'll see how things go. But most importantly again, CFB Revamped has energized the community again.
Now what exactly is it ?? Well to say the team working on it has legitimately re-worked damn near everything they can is an understatement. The UI is now different more in line with current ESPN broadcasts of college football, the rosters are current. they've gone in and added all of the jerseys that every team uses, they're going through playbooks and matching them more to their real-world counterparts, they've introduced a new mechanic to RPO (Run, Pass, Option) plays making them more realistic, they've changed logos to match their current logos, they have added teams that weren't in the original NCAA Football 14 (Coastal Carolina, Appalachian State, etc), they've fixed Team Builder, there's so much this team has done.
The work they've put into this mod is amazing, it's something special to behold and when you can change an entire gaming community, one that loves NCAA 14, when you revamp not only the game they love but the community itself, that is something special. For instance, I mentioned Drew Morris, I loved all Not The Expert's UGF Pandas (I even have a hoodie) and DVSU Dingos stuff but then one day he made a video and was like "guys I'm burnt out on NCAA it's just the same and it's not as fun to do anymore, I'm just gonna try new things, hope you stick around" and I did and his new content was awesome still but I always wanted to see a return to those days........when CFB Revamped came out, old Drew came back, with a love for the game again and new content to be released on the regular. It was exciting for sure.
If you love these games, I'd suggest finding a way to play it if you can, and honestly if I was EA Sports..........I'd hire these guys to work on EA College Football because any team that can do this with a 7 year old game can probably work wonders with anything new that you'd give them.
