If you don't believe me pick up any Dead Or Alive game in the series and choose any main female character, with the exception of Marie Rose as she is a younger girl, and each and every single one of them has melon sized breasts that use the best "jiggle physics" engine they can. Wait, you don't need to play the main series. Dead Or Alive is a franchise so catered to the fan service of the women in this game that Dead Or Alive Xtreme exists. What's DoA: Xtreme ?? Umm......fun in the sun beach volleyball and other random outdoor activities that the girls can wear swimsuits in.
Dead Or Alive is less of a fighting game and more of a fun time brawl simulator that is more suited to showing off how well the animators can create different looking female models. That is until now because at E3 2018 we were told about Dead Or Alive 6 and how it was going to be a truly serious fighting game. That the amount of sexual content was toned down and the focus was all on the fighting gameplay.
It is way too late for this Dead Or Alive......way too late.
You have 5 main game franchise installments plus several branch-offs of those main numbered titles, each one could have been used to create a serious fighting game. A game that would get you recognition throughout the fighting game community but it is way too late now; you may have said this is going to be a serious take on the franchise but everyone who plays fighting games already views your franchise as a joke and won't touch it with a 10 foot pole. There is no way that people can take the Dead Or Alive franchise seriously. At this point it would honestly be better for them to just stick to making Xtreme series games or use the female characters in a story campaign. Something that isn't a fighting game. It's not to say that the fighting in DoA is bad, it's decent, but the perception of the franchise has all but buried it into the ground. I wouldn't be opposed to them using the characters in a ninja like story game Kasumi and Ayane have been in other games, such as Ninja Gaiden and Fatal Frame. Speaking of Ninja Gaiden, Ryu Hayabusa, the main protagonist is also in the Dead Or Alive series; so incorporating the two more female ninja girls into a game such as that or others wouldn't be a bad idea.
I think as a fighting game it's a lost cause but utilizing their character models still has a chance.
This is a franchise that wants us to take it seriously after this:
